In the evening we went to Short North (an area of Columbus) for the gallery hop. Unfortuneately we were so tired we didn't make it to many of the galleries and the entire area was packed with people. This picture was taken inside of one of the galleries. I've cropped it pretty heavily and applied the Orton effect to it. Care to guess what it is?

Oliver Chong > 2008.05.25 - Day 43 : This is my take on the Orton technique. Created in Photoshop from a single exposure, but I'm sure you could get the same effect by directly replicating the original concept with two exposures. "The original technique invented by Michael Orton was to overlay two or more images of an identical scene with very different exposures on slide film.[2] One image is sharply focused and the others are very out of focus. Orton has also experimented with similar techniques, substituting one of the images in the composition for one of a different subject, such as a texture layer, or combining a multi-colored image and a monotone one." -wikipedia
Oliver Chong > 2008.05.07 - Day 25 : I've always enjoyed working with photoshop, even outside of photo editing. This is kind of a crossover as I see it. A photo that has been relatively heavily processed. I guess this is how I decided to make a boring photo interesting.
