Oliver Chong > Zero Visibility

Another shot of the fog. Its taken from the bow looking downwards towards the water... Can you see it? Considering how close we were to land in the previous pictures its good to know that modern ships have GPS.
Oliver Chong > Dense Fog

Fog so thick you can't see the water. We went through a pretty large patch of fog on the second day. Thick enough that the crew had to sound the fog horn. Let me tell you, being on the upper deck when it sounds is quite an experience.
Oliver Chong > Wake

A view from the stern of the Sapphire Princess. As you can see the water in this area is pretty much dead flat besides the wakes the boats make going through it. This is because we are traveling through an area of islands near the shore so wind and waves aren't really present. This is also means the boat isn't rocking and a big motivator for taking the "Inside Passage" cruise.

Oliver Chong > Oliver Photographing

Thats me taking some pictures of North Vancouver across the bay. I am using my Sigma 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 if you are wondering. The camera is a Canon Rebel XT.
Oliver Chong > Lower Outside Deck

Just the view down deck 7. As you can see the people are carrying life vests because when you board a cruise in the US or Canada you are required by law to be instructed on how to use your life vest and the learn the evacuation procedure.
