A preview of October in New England... Even the flowers know autumn is coming. I have no idea what plant this is, but it was growing in bed at the apartment complex entrance.

*Mystery Solved! - Thanks CSPics, it does indeed seem to be some variety of Lantana.

Shot on a light gray table and composed as a 3 shot HDR.

I have been thinking about taking this shot every time I have a latte. This is actually a 5 exposure HDR which really helps draw the texture out of the bottom of the cup and the table it is sitting on.

The drink was good...

Elliot's graduation was today.
This is the home of the Buckeyes - Ohio State University. Boy was it hot in the horseshoe. The air was in the mid-90s and there was only occasional shade for the graduates. They sit down at the curve where all the seats are empty. We sat up in that dark area between the decks.

This is a hand-held 3 exposure HDR. I am standing pretty close to the edge of the stands.
Oliver Chong > 2008.06.18 - Day 67 :

Irene's parents were kind enough to bring us some planters of herbs. Three BIG planters and two tomato plants. The lighting this evening was nice and diffuse, perfect for this shot. I really liked the contrasting textures and shapes.

This is a 5 exposure HDR gone black and white.

I have also edited my first back fill picture. I am starting with a photo from Elliot's graduation. Sometime soon I will get all those photos online.... or so I will keep telling myself.

Alright, back to using my 350D.
Here I wanted to experiment with using HDR along with other edge enhancements to create an image that really popped. With all the other photos I have posted there have hardly been any adjustments made. The only light source is the one you see in the image. This is formed from five exposures in 1EV increments - taken with my 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5.
