Oliver Chong > 2008.06.07 - Day 56 : We flew in to Columbus this morning and sat around at Elliot's apartment waiting for our parents to arrive. In the evening we went to Short North (an area of Columbus) for the gallery hop. Unfortuneately we were so tired we didn't make it to many of the galleries and the entire area was packed with people. This picture was taken inside of one of the galleries. I've cropped it pretty heavily and applied the Orton effect to it. Care to guess what it is?

Oliver Chong > 2008.05.22 - Day 40 : Irene was ready for a new computer so we bought the parts the other day to model the one I built in late February. It is amazing how quickly the prices drop. It was ~$150 less three months later. You can see three of the most important parts of a good computer: the processor, the ram and the video card. The "silentpipe" is covering the Northbridge. If you're curious the components are: Intel Core 2 Quad 6600, 4GB DDR2-800, Nvidia 8800GT.

Oliver Chong > 2008.04.20 - Day 8 : The magnolia bush at the entrance to my apartment complex bloomed and since I missed taking a picture of its flowers last year I had to take one this time around.
Oliver Chong > 2008.04.17 - Day 5 : This is an attempt at lighting from below. I have the hand soap sitting on top of a piece of glass with the flash firing upward. I still haven't quite worked out the technique. My setup isn't ideal either because the tube i place the glass on doesn't have any access at the bottom which makes it incredibly tedious when you set the flash power wrong and have to take everything apart to get it out and adjust it... WIP.
