Oliver Chong > 2008.04.17 - Day 5 : This is an attempt at lighting from below. I have the hand soap sitting on top of a piece of glass with the flash firing upward. I still haven't quite worked out the technique. My setup isn't ideal either because the tube i place the glass on doesn't have any access at the bottom which makes it incredibly tedious when you set the flash power wrong and have to take everything apart to get it out and adjust it... WIP.
Oliver Chong > 2008.04.16 - Day 4 : I've noticed this clock several times in the past so when my girlfriend and I went in to Lowell for dinner this evening it became the subject of my first few shots. In the end I found this the most interesting picture of the evening. If you can't read the two plaques, "Installed January 1914".
Oliver Chong > 2008.04.15 - Day 3 : I am a huge fan of the light box and the look it produces. I actually started off with a different idea using strawberries and blueberries, but it will have to wait for another day after some more thought. I guess the real question here is, who's following who?

With the hands is far more compelling and greatly helps to balance the fact that almost everything else in the scene is on the gray scale. The picture was taken at 10mm for the distortion effect which i actually hoped there to be more of. P.S. triggering the shutter with your foot isn't the easiest thing to do...
Oliver Chong > 2008.04.13 - Day 1 : The first photo in my attempt to take at least one keeper everyday for a year. In this shot I loved the shape of the flowers and how they are nearly identical twins. They also fit in nicely with the season as it only has just started getting warm enough for spring flowers in MA. *edit* I mistakenly stated this photo was taken on the 14th, but it was actually the 13th. My EXIF is wrong because the camera was still set to Japan Standard Time.
2008.04.14 - Day 2 :
